Summary: Piloting Taito.ai at Zepz
Zepz sought to improve how performance was managed, moving away from rigid reviews to a more dynamic, people-centered model built on continuous feedback. They partnered with Taito.ai to co-develop and pilot a continuous feedback solution, leveraging AI to make real-time feedback simple, actionable, and seamlessly integrated into everyday workflows in Slack. The pilot included in total ~250 users from Product, Engineering, IT, Marketing, Finance and People -teams. Their early adoption and user feedback has shaped the Taito product—and in return, helping Zepz build a culture of employee growth, not just evaluation.
The challenge: Outgrowing static performance reviews
Zepz was at an inflection point in its performance management journey. Structured review cycles were administratively heavy and struggled to keep up with how the organization operated—fast-paced, remote-first, and cross-functional. Feedback often lacked the speed to drive maximum development.
"At Zepz, we believe performance isn’t a once-a-year conversation—it’s an everyday opportunity. But we lacked a mechanism to support that mindset at scale. Taito.ai is the perfect solution for that."
Although Zepz used an existing tool as its core HR Information System, it lacked the nudge-style functionality the team was looking for. The team wanted a lightweight way to give and receive timely feedback that reflected actual moments of work—something its current platform wasn’t built to do.
How Taito.ai made a difference: AI-powered, continuous approach to feedback
Zepz partnered with Taito.ai to pilot a continuous feedback process that could plug directly into existing workflows, including Slack, Google Calendar, and HRIS. Taito’s AI-powered platform enabled feedback collection at the right moments—post-collaboration, during milestones, or before check-ins—with prompts automatically tailored to individual goals.
"At Zepz, we believe performance should be supported continuously—not just assessed once or twice a year. With Taito.ai, our managers and individual contributors have a shared rhythm of giving and receiving feedback that keeps growth conversations alive all year round. It’s helping us craft a culture where performance is driven every day."
The pilot reached ~250 participants with managers and individual contributors both involved. Taito allowed employees to collect relevant, real-time input from peers and collaborators, which could then be reflected privately or brought into structured 1-1’s and development discussions with managers.
Importantly, employees could choose whether and when to share feedback to their co-workers, creating a sense of ownership and psychological safety.
Key results: Engagement, ownership, and clarity
The shift to continuous feedback has already shown promising results. Weekly feedback frequency increased, with up to 77 timely feedback points given using Taito.
"I like how quick and easy it makes giving feedback and that it can be documented. I appreciate that it highlights people’s contributions, even if they weren’t the ones who closed the ticket or merged the code — their efforts still made a difference."
Employees appreciated having a clear picture of their development based on a steady stream of insights—not just one-off snapshots.
"Before Taito, feedback often felt like a formal event - we’d save it for reviews or retros. Now it’s just part of how we work. My team shares feedback more openly and more often, and that’s shifted our culture. People feel safer speaking up and more supported in growing day to day."
What’s next: scaling continuous feedback and performance enablement
Following the pilot, Zepz and Taito.ai are expanding the rollout to more teams. The next phase includes:
- Scaling continuous feedback across more functions
- Empowering personalized 1:1s through AI-generated meeting agendas and coaching tips
- Leveraging insights from feedback trends to shape development conversations and talent decisions
- Building on continuous feedback, exploring what effective performance reviews can look like in a modern, fast-moving organization, using Taito.ai
The goal is clear: to build a more human, data-informed performance system—one where growth is supported every day.
