Payroll sync for Xero, Fortnox, and Netvisor
Payroll data now syncs from Taito.ai to Xero, Fortnox, and Netvisor: employees, compensation, time off, and attendance, without the monthly re-entry.

Your payroll system is good at payroll: net pay, tax, the actual payout. What it doesn’t know is that someone took three days off mid-month, that a raise landed on the 12th, or that a shift ran two hours over. None of that lives in payroll; it lives in Taito.ai. Getting it there has meant a monthly or bi-weekly export, a re-key into the payroll system, and a second look to make sure nothing changed since the last run. Taito.ai now sends that data itself, to Xero in the UK, Fortnox in Sweden, and Netvisor in Finland.
What syncs
Four kinds of data move from Taito.ai to your payroll provider on every run, each one something payroll needs but doesn’t originate.
| Data | What Taito.ai sends | Why payroll needs it |
|---|---|---|
| Employees | New hires, leavers, and changes to the employment record | So the run covers the right people |
| Compensation | Current salary and changes, with their effective dates | So a mid-month raise is paid from the right day |
| Time off | Approved time off, by type, against the run’s cycle | So unpaid and partly-paid time off is deducted |
| Attendance | Recorded hours, overtime, and allowances | So hourly and shift pay is right without a re-key |
What doesn’t change: Taito.ai doesn’t calculate net pay, deduct tax, or make the payout. That stays the payroll provider’s job. The sync exists so the provider is working from the right numbers when it does that job, not so Taito.ai starts doing it instead. That’s also where time off and attendance live day to day, before either ever reaches a payroll run.
Xero, Fortnox, and Netvisor
Xero in the UK
Xero, the accounting platform UK teams run payroll on, is the UK half of this release: its built-in payroll runs in the UK, Australia, and New Zealand, so this integration covers UK payroll specifically. Xero files Real Time Information (RTI) to HMRC on every pay run and handles workplace-pension auto-enrolment. Taito.ai sends the employee, compensation, time off, and attendance data Xero needs before that run; the RTI filing and the pension calculation stay Xero’s job.
Fortnox in Sweden
Fortnox is the Swedish accounting and payroll platform. Its payroll product handles the parts specific to Swedish payroll: a one-click employer declaration to Skatteverket, digital payslips opened with BankID, and pay calculated under Swedish collective-agreement rules. Taito.ai keeps Fortnox current on who’s employed, what they earn, and what time off or attendance affects this run, so the declaration Fortnox sends to Skatteverket is built on the right numbers from the start.
Netvisor in Finland
Netvisor, operated by Visma Solutions as part of the Visma group, is Finland’s cloud payroll and financial-management service. Its payroll product, Netvisor Palkat, files a report to the Incomes Register automatically with every pay run, a filing built around Finnish payroll and tax requirements. Taito.ai’s sync gives Netvisor the employee, compensation, time off, and attendance data behind that report; the filing itself stays with Netvisor.
What this takes out of your month-end
The work this removes is the part that happens after payroll data already exists somewhere else: exporting a spreadsheet from Taito.ai, re-keying it into Xero, Fortnox, or Netvisor, and reconciling that export against the time-off log to check nothing was missed. It’s also the smaller, easy-to-forget check: did anyone’s salary change this month, and did that change make it into the file before the cut-off.
None of that goes away entirely; someone still reviews the run before it’s filed. But the re-entry and the manual cross-check against Taito.ai’s own records are gone, because the numbers are already there when the payroll provider opens the run. For a team running payroll monthly, that means one less spreadsheet and one less round of checking whether the two sides match, with fewer places a raise or a day of unpaid time off can get missed between systems. Custom agents can take on the surrounding steps too, if any of them turn out to be repeatable.

All three payroll integrations are generally available today. Connect one from the integrations settings in Taito.ai; the sync runs on your payroll cycle from there.
