Ask HR anything, in Slack

Employees open a DM with the Taito.ai app in Slack and ask — time-off balances, policy answers, their next 1:1. Answered from live data, scoped to what that person is allowed to see, and private by default.

A Slack conversation with the Taito.ai app. Olivia Hartley asks how much annual leave she will have accrued by the end of October; the app replies that she is at 12 days today and accrues 2.08 days a month under her policy, putting her at 18.25 days on Oct 31 with nothing else booked. She then asks to book a week off in the first week of August and the first week of September, and the app confirms Aug 3–7 and Sep 1–4 are booked as annual leave — 9 working days, both approved — leaving an Oct 31 balance of 9.25 days.

How it works

Self-serve HR, without a portal

Employees DM the app as themselves, so what they can ask is what they can see — balances, policies, org data, straight from the live record.

The People team stops being the FAQ desk

The obvious questions get answered without a ticket. Your team focuses on the ones that need judgement.

Answers stay right

They come from the live record, not a screenshot in someone’s DMs or a stale Notion page.

Nothing new to learn

The interface is Slack. Employees are already there — no separate portal to remember.

Example DMs

In Slack, open a DM with the Taito.ai app and just ask.

How many vacation days do I have left this year?
What's our sick-leave policy for Spain?
Who's out this week on my team?
When was my last performance review?

Behind the scenes:
  – The Taito.ai app authenticates the asker via their Slack ID
  – Calls Taito.ai MCP with the asker's own permissions
  – Answers with the live value + a link to the underlying record or policy

Frequently asked questions

Do employees need a Taito.ai login to ask?
They need an account, but they never have to open it. The Slack app matches their Slack identity to their employee record and answers with that person’s own permissions.
Can anyone else see what someone asked?
No. The DM is a private conversation between the employee and the Taito.ai app, and it is logged against their record the same way any other access is.
What happens when the app can’t answer?
It hands the question to the right person with the conversation so far attached, rather than guessing. Policy questions that need interpretation go to the People team, not to a generated answer.
